Stages Part II

Oh how humorous ...

When my art passion merges into my personal life. Turning points in life's philosophy. Recreating life's puzzle, each and every day.. It's not another: "Is it Art?" debate, but perhaps deeper than that.... It's the equivalent of being glued to the telephone. Waiting for that boy you like to finally call you, once and for all.

Mr. Bradford I hope to visit your studio in the near future...

This past Saturday I was lucky enough to manage free entrance to Los Angeles Art Association's "GEM" Spring event/fundraiser. It sure was one of those moments in life where your philosophy of life is turned upside down, but more to come later on tonight.

Also, don't miss Kathryn Brennan's LAst Show at Cottage Home. Before their relocation to New York's Lower East Side.

Art Los Angeles Contemporary Art Fair

So, I still have to check out the Lego structure that is the Pacific Design Center. It's quite hard to get twenty four dollars or at any sixteen dollars for an art fair entrance. Especially, when your parents don't believe that art is a savvy career choice or, even a good past time hobby. And I'm a lonesome twenty year old girl without a job.

There's hope for us out there!!

Last night out of whim, I found myself at Chinatown's Chung King Road. I'm still debating if it was an excuse for taro cakes, lotus leaf cookies, and greasy dumplings, or if I was really there to write about the great galleries you'll find at Chung King. Great galleries, that were close because 1. It was over 6 pm and 2. Most galleries were closed, due to re-installation. Most of them will soon be open in February. I'm happy to have gone late; Sometimes, events really do happen for a reason.

Stephen Cohen has nothing on Tim Fleming, ha-ha. Loving how there's many events going on around town, in conjunction with the fair.

Tonight, you can't miss the events going on at Chung King Road!. "It's going down"... Yes, I said: IT'S GOING DOWN. And yes, now i feel slightly uncomfortable.

A Contemporary Art Fair topped with Life

I have an uncanny love and tendency for the wee hours of the night. My writing gets the best of me, my thinking flows freely, and my mind is most at peace when I find that all of those in my home are not yelling at each other across a full dinner table, or ranting, but silent. Silent in the art of sleep.

So, I've been writing non stop for about two hours now. Not tired, but concerned for my plans later on today...

At the end of summer last year, we witnessed the first Annual Malibu Annual Contemporary Art Fair and this year Stephen Cohen's Art L.A. was missed, but on a ride of a controversial roller coaster we are introduced to Art Los Angeles Contemporary which was brought to us by Fair Grounds, which is..... I won't go on.

A full review on my thoughts will be posted soon. My plans were to post my thoughts on the event before I actually attended the event, but I figured that no one reads this anyways.

Here are the details, see you there!

P.S. I'm really hoping that my loneliness will stay out of the way this weekend!
